The Los Angeles Rams dominated the Minnesota Vikings in a 27-9 victory on Monday night in an NFC wild-card game that was moved from Southern California to Arizona due to wildfires.
The Rams' defense was the star of the show, sacking Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold a playoff-record nine times. Los Angeles also intercepted Darnold once and forced him to fumble twice.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford threw two touchdown passes and the Rams built a 17-3 lead by halftime. The Vikings never threatened after that, and the Rams cruised to an easy victory.
The Rams will now face the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Eagles also had a dominant defensive performance in their wild-card game, defeating the New York Giants 38-7.
The Rams and Eagles will meet in Philadelphia on Sunday. The winner of that game will advance to the NFC Championship Game.

The scoreline makes it seem worse than it actually was. The Rams got lucky.

Sacking Darnold nine times is just embarrassing for the Vikings. They need a new quarterback.
