In his NHL debut, Flames forward Rory Kerins made an impact with two assists in the first period. Prior to being called up on Friday, Kerins led the AHL with 21 goals. The Blackhawks, despite Connor Bedard's achievement of his 100th career point with a second-period goal, faced another tough loss, marking their ninth defeat in eleven games. Bedard has accumulated 34 goals and 66 assists over 112 games since being the first overall pick in the 2023 draft.

The game saw the Flames take a commanding lead, with Bean scoring his second goal of the season early in the second period.
