Irish Model Describes "Apocalyptic" Conditions in Los Angeles Amid Wildfires

Tiffany Stanley, an Irish model who has been residing in Los Angeles for more than ten years, painted a grim picture of her current situation as wildfires devastate the region. The flames have claimed at least 11 lives and destroyed over ten thousand homes, prompting evacuation orders for more than 180,000 people. From her Hollywood Hills residence, Tiffany has witnessed the towering infernos close to her home, notably from nearby Runyon Canyon, leading her to describe the city as having an "apocalyptic" feel.

She recounted her experience to the Irish Mirror, emphasizing the proximity of the flames to her property and the dreadful air quality that made it difficult to breathe. With the situation changing rapidly, she noted, "Fires are popping up everywhere," comparing the chaos to the lawlessness of the Wild West. Tiffany and her husband, Garret Thomas, are prepared to leave with their two dogs but are waiting for a formal evacuation order.

Despite the uncertainty, they have already packed essential items, including important documents and cherished belongings from deceased family members. Their concern extends beyond their immediate safety; they have also checked on their elderly neighbor, ready to assist if needed. Currently, the couple remains indoors to avoid the hazardous air, which has made their eyes burn and caused them to cough due to the smoke and debris.

As a long-time resident, Tiffany is contemplating a return to her homeland, expressing her disbelief at the severe climate changes she has witnessed. She lamented the lack of resources to combat the fires and the chaotic state of the city, remarking, "It's insane; people are going crazy trying to make sense of everything.
