A Community Mourns Earthquake Victims
Hundreds gathered in Dingri County for a memorial service honoring the victims of the recent earthquake. The event saw government officials, rescue workers, and local residents stand in solemn silence, remembering those lost.
In the aftermath of the disaster, a collective effort has been underway, providing rescue and relief to the affected areas. Mental health relief teams have also been diligently working to ease the post-disaster trauma experienced by many.
A special birthday party was held for children born in January, bringing joy and warmth to the resettlement site. The team also organized soccer games, singing sessions, and painting activities, encouraging children to express their dreams and hopes for the future.
First-aid training was provided to villagers, enhancing their self-rescue and mutual aid capabilities. Additionally, Panchen Rinpoche offered prayers and support for the victims and their families.
As the community rebuilds, the spirit of resilience and hope shines through, reminding us of the strength and unity that can emerge in the face of adversity.

I find it hard to believe that a birthday party is appropriate given the current tragedy. Priorities, people!
