Andrea Pasinetti, a resident of Palisades, California, was away on a business trip when the devastating Palisades Fire erupted. His wife, Sixuan, was overseas, leaving their three dogs at home with a dogsitter.
As the fire approached, the dogsitter became trapped, leaving the dogs in danger. Pasinetti, filled with anxiety, flew back to Los Angeles, hoping to rescue them.
Upon landing, Pasinetti and a friend encountered roadblocks, unable to reach their home. Through a series of connections, they contacted CBS News reporter Jonathan Vigliotti and producer Christian Duran, who bravely attempted the rescue.
Despite the danger, Vigliotti and Duran managed to extract all three dogs from the burning house. Pasinetti expressed his profound gratitude for their heroism.
The Pasinettis now face the task of rebuilding their lives after losing their home. However, they are grateful for the lives of their beloved pets and the kindness of strangers who came to their aid.
