Jamie Dimon's Advice for Trump's Second Term

With Donald Trump's second term approaching, top Wall Street leaders are offering their advice. Among them, Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has focused on immigration policy.

In a CBS News interview, Dimon urged Trump to prioritize immigration and border security. He believes that addressing these issues should be the first step, followed by proper immigration reform.

Dimon's stance aligns with Trump's previous statements on immigration. During his first term, Trump implemented policies such as curtailing legal immigration, suspending work visas, and building a border wall. He has also expressed plans for mass deportations and ending birthright citizenship in his second term.

Dimon acknowledges potential disagreements on specific details but emphasizes the importance of border security, a concern shared by many countries.

Beyond immigration, Dimon advocates for education reform. He proposes measuring schools based on student outcomes, such as securing well-paying jobs, rather than solely on academic performance. This, he believes, would encourage schools to prioritize skills that lead to high-paying careers in fields like data analytics, manufacturing, and finance.

Dimon also supports eliminating tax breaks, even for the wealthy, and doubling the earned income tax credit for low to moderate-income workers. This, he argues, would inject more money into the pockets of working families and stimulate their communities.
