Inter Milan secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Venezia on Sunday, solidifying their position in the Serie A title race. The visitors took an early lead in the 16th minute when Lautaro Martinez's volley was parried by Venezia goalkeeper Filip Stankovic, but the rebound fell perfectly for Matteo Darmian, who slotted it home.
Inter had several opportunities to extend their lead, with Davide Frattesi missing a one-on-one chance against Stankovic. Venezia threatened a late equalizer when Gianluca Busio's strike hit the post, but Inter held on for the win.
The victory lifted Inter to second place in the Serie A standings, one point ahead of Atalanta, who were held to a goalless draw at Udinese on Saturday. Napoli remain top of the table with 44 points, but have played one game more than Inter. Venezia remain second bottom with 14 points.

Solid defensive performance from Inter. Venezia didn't have many chances.

The title race is wide open, but Inter isn't showing the consistency to win it.

Just not good enough. Inter needs a wake-up call before it's too late.

Second place is nice, but we need to be more ambitious. This team has the potential for greatness.
