Shocking Footage Emerges of Russian Child Being Urged to Kill Ukrainians

A disturbing video circulating on social media showcases a small Russian child dressed in a khaki military outfit and holding a firearm, as a voice encourages him to "kill Ukrainians." The unsettling clip, which has not been verified, was posted on X by Anton Geraschenko, a former adviser to Ukraine’s Interior Ministry. In the footage, the child, seemingly confused, gazes at the camera while a voice instructs him to learn how to "kill Khokhols," a derogatory term for Ukrainians. The child responds affirmatively when instructed to "fight," reflecting the indoctrination utilized for military training.

Throughout the video, a harsh voice warns the boy about the consequences of improper conduct, stating that if he fails to follow orders, he risks being shot. The clip concludes with the child being reminded that Ukrainians "won't kill themselves" and that it is their responsibility to do so. Geraschenko commented on this episode, highlighting the troubling methods used by Russian authorities to groom children for warfare against Ukraine.

Currently, the legal age for military service in Russia is 18 for both conscripts and voluntary contract soldiers, though recent legislative changes allow individuals to join contract service up to the age of 65. These adjustments are part of a broader strategy to bolster recruitment amidst ongoing challenges in replenishing military ranks due to the protracted war in Ukraine. Russia mandates a one-year military service for all male citizens aged 18 to 27, with two annual conscription periods.

However, since the war began, reports indicate that exemptions from conscription have become more scrutinized, and allegations of forced enlistment have emerged in various regions. Additionally, recruitment efforts have expanded to include reservists and volunteers, elevating the age limit for mobilization. The introduction of "partial mobilization" in 2022 targeted men up to 55 who had prior military experience, showcasing the Kremlin's increasing dependence on conscription to sustain its military initiatives. This recruitment strategy has notably included marginalized groups, including prisoners, further raising the alarm regarding the ethical implications of Russia's military policies.
