Tram Collision in Strasbourg Leaves Dozens Injured

On Saturday afternoon, a serious incident took place at a major tram station in Strasbourg, France, where two trams collided, leaving many individuals injured. Eyewitness footage shared on social media depicted chaotic scenes, with numerous people seen on the ground and alarms sounding in the background. Local media outlets, such as Actu17, reported that approximately 30 persons sustained injuries during the accident, with five individuals reportedly in critical condition.

Preliminary investigations indicate that one tram changed tracks unexpectedly, resulting in a collision with another tram that was stationary. Following the incident, the Bas-Rhin national police confirmed via social media that tram services were halted in both directions at Strasbourg station.
