BJP Holds State Convention in Shirdi, Maharashtra, Addressed by CM Devendra Fadnavis

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a state convention in Shirdi, located in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the attendees, highlighting that all party leaders would receive clear guidance on their forthcoming initiatives. Prior to the convention, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced plans to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti with a lecture as part of the event.

Fadnavis, during his visit, also sought blessings at the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi. Furthermore, he inaugurated a new Composite Manufacturing facility at EEL, Solar Industries in Nagpur, which enhances the local production of various drone technologies and systems. The opening of this state-of-the-art facility aims to support the manufacturing sector in the region significantly.

In the recent assembly elections held in November 2024, the Mahayuti government, led by the BJP, achieved a substantial victory, securing 132 seats which allowed Fadnavis to be designated as the legislative leader. During this time, Fadnavis reiterated the government's dedication to achieving justice in the case of Santosh Deshmukh, the murdered sarpanch of Beed. He affirmed that the government would ensure those responsible for the crime are held accountable, following a letter from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar urging measures for the safety of public representatives impacted by Deshmukh's death. Deshmukh was killed on December 9, following his resistance to an extortion scheme by local leaders targeting a renewable energy firm.
