Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage Dispute Over Reform UK Membership Numbers
A legal battle between Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage over her claim that Reform UK faked its membership numbers has been averted. Farage announced he would not take court action against the Conservative leader after she accused him of "fraud and dishonesty."
Instead, Farage will campaign in Badenoch's North West Essex constituency with 1,200 supporters later this month. He plans to hold a large event for Reform members in the constituency and take a photo with them, saying "these are all our fake members and we are coming for you at the next election."
The dispute began over Christmas when Badenoch accused Farage of publishing a "fake" ticker showing Reform UK's membership increasing to overtake the Conservatives. Reform reacted angrily, denying the accusations and demanding an apology from Badenoch.
Nigel Farage's Earnings and Activities as an MP
Meanwhile, official records show that Farage has declared earnings of more than half a million pounds from second jobs in his first six months as an MP. This includes £189,300 from a London gold bullion dealer, £15,000 from Cameo, and £42,000 from his role as a presenter on GB News.
Farage has also received gifts, donations, and hospitality worth almost £58,000 in the past six months. He has defended his earnings, saying he is "out meeting constituents on a regular basis" and "working with community groups." He has also purchased a house in his Clacton constituency and plans to hold a "massive event" for small businesses there later this month.
