The China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) has reported that a magnitude-4.6 earthquake hit the Jinfeng district of Yinchuan, the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, at 16:43 on Thursday. Following this seismic event, the Earthquake Disaster Relief Headquarters of the State Council and the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) quickly initiated an emergency response.
As part of the relief operations, local fire and rescue teams mobilized 105 personnel along with 20 vehicles to evaluate the situation near the earthquake's epicenter. Additionally, a further group consisting of 440 personnel, 86 vehicles, and 13 rescue dogs is standing by ready for deployment. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported as a result of this incident.
This earthquake marks the second seismic occurrence in Ningxia on the same day, with an earlier earthquake occurring at 10:01 AM, situated at slightly different coordinates of 38.4 degrees north latitude and 106.22 degrees east longitude.
