Raptors Snap Losing Streak with Victory over Nets
The Toronto Raptors finally ended their 11-game losing streak with a 130-113 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Immanuel Quickley, returning from a 22-game absence due to an elbow injury, had a stellar performance with 21 points and 15 assists. Scottie Barnes also contributed a double-double with 33 points and 13 rebounds, while Gradey Dick added 22 points.
The Nets were led by Cam Johnson's 24 points, while Nic Claxton had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell came off the bench to score 22 points and dish out eight assists. However, the Nets also suffered injuries to Noah Clowney (lower back) and Maxwell Lewis (left knee) during the game.
The Raptors continued to struggle with mistakes on both ends of the floor, similar to their previous loss to the Boston Celtics. They committed 11 turnovers leading to 16 points for the Nets and allowed 62 points in the paint.
Despite these shortcomings, the Raptors managed to pull away in the fourth quarter with a 25-6 run. Quickley's 29-foot three-pointer with 4:17 remaining gave the Raptors a 20-point lead and sealed the victory.
Gradey Dick surpassed the 1,000-point milestone during the game, becoming the fourth youngest Raptor to reach that mark.
The Raptors will look to build on this win when they host the Orlando Magic on Friday, while the Nets will travel to Milwaukee to face the Bucks on Thursday.

Another win against a team with multiple injured players? Not exactly convincing.

Let's not be so negative! The Raptors are a young team, they will have ups and downs.

The Raptors are like the Titanic. They might have stopped sinking, but they're still going down.

This win doesn't erase the bad taste of the last 11 games. Still a lot of work to do.

Giving up 62 points in the paint? Our defense is nonexistent.

Quickley had a good game, but can he do it consistently? Jury's still out.

Ugh, finally a win. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, the Raptors are still a mess. 11-game losing streak? Embarrassing!
