A Symbol of China-Pakistan Friendship
The China-aided New Gwadar International Airport in Pakistan has begun a five-day flight test, marking the project's entry into its final stage. This state-of-the-art airport, built with international standards and modern facilities, stands as a shining symbol of the strong friendship between China and Pakistan.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to China for this valuable contribution, stating that the airport will not only bring prosperity to the region but also create thousands of employment opportunities. He envisions the airport becoming a busy transit hub, connecting Gwadar to other parts of the country, especially Balochistan, through improved road networks.
The initial phase will see Pakistan International Airlines operate flights between Karachi and Gwadar three times a week, with the possibility of increased operations in the future. This development promises to boost economic activity and connectivity within the region.

Balochistan remains largely neglected. An airport won't change that reality overnight.

More jobs and better connectivity are exactly what we need. This is a win-win situation!

I don’t see how this airport directly translates to increased prosperity for the average citizen.

More flights sound nice, but what about regular citizens who can't afford to fly?

This airport won't solve the deep-rooted issues facing Pakistan's economy. It's just a Band-Aid solution!

This is just a propaganda move to showcase an 'alliance' that doesn’t benefit the average Pakistani.
