New Zealand Pacer Adam Milne and Australian Batter Chris Lynn Join PSL Draft
New Zealand pacer Adam Milne and Australian top-order batter Chris Lynn have joined the growing list of overseas talent registered for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 draft. The PSL confirmed their participation on Wednesday, with the draft scheduled to take place in Gwadar city of Balochistan on January 11.
Milne, a seasoned campaigner in white-ball cricket, has represented New Zealand in 103 matches across formats, claiming 118 wickets. In T20Is, he has 61 scalps in 53 matches, while in ODIs, he has 57 wickets in 50 matches. He boasts extensive experience in franchise cricket, having played in the Big Bash League, The Hundred Men's Competition, the Indian Premier League, and the Vitality Blast.
Lynn, on the other hand, has been a prominent figure in franchise cricket since his last appearance for Australia in 2018. He has been a regular face in the IPL, representing Sunrisers Hyderabad, Deccan Chargers, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders. During his IPL stint, he amassed 1,329 runs in 42 matches at an average of 34.08 and a strike rate of 140.63. He has also played for Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans in the PSL.
Their participation adds further depth and excitement to the PSL draft, which promises to be a highly competitive affair with several other international stars vying for selection.

I fail to see the point of having players like Lynn who haven't played for Australia in years. What's the value?

Can't we support our local leagues without needing foreign stars to validate them?

I just wish the PSL could foster its own youthful talents instead of relying on aging international names.

How many times do we need to prove that local players can match the skills of these international stars?
