Guangzhou South Railway Station Issues Safety Reminder After Passenger Injury

The Guangzhou South railway station, located in South China's Guangzhou Province, emphasized the importance of passenger safety by advising travelers not to obstruct train doors or attempt to forcefully board or exit the train. This reminder follows an unfortunate incident where a passenger sustained injuries to their fingers while trying to prevent the doors of a high-speed train from closing.

The situation unfolded as the train G1175 was preparing to leave when the passenger, who had a valid ticket for carriage 10, suddenly exited from carriage 8 and rushed towards carriage 9 of the adjacent train unit. In the process of trying to block the doors from shutting, their fingers became caught, leading to the injury. Footage of the event depicted the train beginning to pull away from the platform, with the individual being dragged alongside the train door.

Immediately, staff at the station notified the train driver, who promptly halted the train. The injured passenger was moved to a secure area on the platform, where emergency medical personnel arrived to provide care. Initial assessments indicated that the passenger had sustained finger injuries, and they were later transported to a hospital for further treatment. The station reiterated the necessity for passengers to avoid any actions that could risk their safety when using train services.
