Livigno has celebrated the completion of its first venue for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics by opening the Livigno Aerials and Moguls facility at Carosello 3000. This location is crucial as it will be the setting for moguls and aerials events, and it will see the awarding of 26 gold medals during the Olympics.
Fabio Saldini, the CEO of Milano Cortina 2026 Infrastructure Company, referred to the ceremonial opening as a significant "path forward," highlighting the facility's attributes of safety, sustainability, and advanced design. Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, along with other officials, explored additional construction sites, which include the upcoming "Livigno Snow Park" and the Olympic Village, signaling a swift progression as they approach the "one year to go" mark in February 2025.
Luca Moretti, president of Livigno Next, expressed enthusiasm regarding the event, stating, "Livigno is the Olympics. We are ready to host the world." He emphasized the community's dedication to creating a fitting atmosphere for the Olympics and envisioned an impressive scene on February 6, 2026, where the Olympic venues would beautifully represent Livigno's spirit and connection to sports.

I'm tired of hearing big talk about ‘community spirit’ when local voices are ignored in this process.
