Sheikh Hamdan Congratulates Saudi Arabia on Winning 2034 FIFA World Cup Bid
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Football Association (UAEFA), has extended his congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on its successful bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement released on December 11th, 2024, Sheikh Hamdan praised Saudi Arabia's capabilities and experience, expressing confidence in the Kingdom's ability to organize the event to the highest standards. He described the victory as a triumph for Arab sports and football in particular.
"Saudi Arabia is fully qualified to host the 2034 World Cup, thanks to its accumulated expertise, as well as its human resources capable of organizing the largest international events," Sheikh Hamdan stated. "We are delighted to see the World Cup return to the Arabian Gulf, as our countries are known for coexistence, tolerance, and fields of creativity."
He concluded by offering his heartfelt congratulations to the Saudi Football Federation and the entire Saudi football community, wishing them continued success in their sporting endeavors.
