Mass Shooting in Florence, Kentucky, Leaves Four Dead and Three Injured

A mass shooting occurred in Florence, Kentucky, on Saturday, leaving four people dead and three injured.

Police responded to a private residence at 2:51 a.m. local time, where they found two victims outside the home. Officers entered the residence and discovered multiple people injured. They administered first aid and learned from partygoers that the suspect had fled in a specific vehicle.

Officers located the suspect's vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the suspect fled, leading to a chase. The chase ended when the suspect's car crashed into a ditch. The suspect was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Three victims were transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition. They are expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect was known to the partygoers and had been convicted of a previous sex crime. The motive for the shooting is unknown.

The victims have been identified as Shane Miller, 20, Hayden Rybicki, 20, Delaney Eary, 19, and Melissa Parrett, 44. The suspect has been identified as Chase Garvey, 21.

This is the first mass shooting in Florence, Kentucky. The community is in shock and mourning the loss of life.
