In a troubling incident in Ang Mo Kio, a 66-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of a 67-year-old woman. Neighbors have reported that the couple often engaged in heated arguments, and the suspect had experienced being locked out of the home on several occasions.
One neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous and identified only as Madam Rahimah, recounted that the man once resorted to breaking the window shutters after being locked out by the woman. Rahimah noted that such confrontations were not uncommon, occurring multiple times and most recently a few weeks prior to the incident. During these episodes, she felt compelled to call the police due to the escalating nature of their disputes.
Additionally, Rahimah shared photos on her phone that depicted the damaged shutters, reinforcing the history of conflict between the two. She also expressed her concerns about having seen bruises on the woman, indicating potential signs of abuse. While it remains unclear if the man was the woman's spouse, Rahimah mentioned that they had been observed together displaying some affection, such as holding hands.
