Biplab Singh, Afsar Ali, Suman Hazra, and Ashish Pandey, all of whom allegedly played roles in the misconduct.
Despite the filing, the Special CBI court in Alipore did not accept the chargesheet due to the absence of required authorization from the West Bengal government for prosecution of its employees. Both Ghosh and Pandey are practicing doctors at the state-managed facility, and without government approval, the case against them cannot proceed in court.
Nearly three months have passed since Ghosh's arrest on September 2, following the discovery of an on-duty medic's body in a seminar room at the hospital in August, an incident that attracted significant media attention. Allegations suggest that the financial misconduct had been ongoing for over three years, involving manipulation of tender processes to favor Ghosh's associates in acquiring medical equipment for the hospital.
