In a statement on social media, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis expressed his appreciation for Union Home Minister Amit Shah's crucial support during the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections. He highlighted Shah's significant role in inspiring and motivating the party's workers, emphasizing the collaboration of notable figures like BJP National President JP Nadda and Maharashtra's caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during their discussions in New Delhi.

Eknath Shinde described the recent meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda as constructive and indicated that there will be further discussions to determine the new Chief Minister. He mentioned that this was the initial gathering of the Mahayuti leaders, with more meetings planned in Mumbai to come to a final decision about the administrative head of the state.

Fadnavis assured the media that there are no internal disputes within the Mahayuti alliance regarding leadership. He reiterated that decisions have been made collectively, and there had been doubts from some members, but Eknath Shinde had cleared these up during the meeting. With the recent election results revealing the BJP as the majority party, they are working swiftly to solidify their leadership structure, with the BJP winning 132 seats in the 280-member assembly alongside their allies.
