Anantnag Police Seize Property of Drug Offender
In a significant move to combat drug abuse, Anantnag Police have attached property worth Rs 2 crores under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This action reinforces their ongoing efforts against drug peddling networks.
The seized property is a double-story residential house along with one Kanal of land, belonging to Mohammad Amin Malik, a resident of Kanalwan. Malik is a habitual offender and was involved in a case where a substantial quantity of narcotic substances was recovered.

Baramulla Police Attach Properties of Notorious Drug Peddler
Continuing their action against drug peddlers, Baramulla Police have attached multiple properties worth Rs 1.72 crore belonging to Rafiq Ahmad Khan, a notorious drug peddler. The properties include double-storied residential houses, a tipper, a trailer, and a four-wheeler.
The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with a case registered in 2016. The properties were identified as illegally acquired during an investigation conducted by the police. They were acquired from the illicit trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
These actions by both Anantnag and Baramulla Police demonstrate their commitment to tackling the drug problem in Jammu and Kashmir. They are sending a strong message to those involved in the illegal drug trade that they will not be tolerated.
