This statement comes in response to President-elect Donald Trump's threat to impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods due to concerns about fentanyl trafficking.

China emphasizes its commitment to counternarcotics efforts, highlighting its tough stance on the issue and its willingness to cooperate with the US on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, and mutual respect. The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry pointed out that China was the first country to officially schedule all fentanyl-related substances, demonstrating its proactive approach to tackling the issue.
