China's unwavering support for Palestine

In a message to a UN meeting commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated China's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He emphasized the urgency of ending the ongoing conflict and achieving a lasting solution through the two-state solution.

Xi stressed that the question of Palestine lies at the heart of the Middle East issue and is a matter of international fairness and justice. He called for the comprehensive implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions to end the war and ease the regional situation.

The President underscored the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty based on the 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital. He also emphasized the need to ensure the Palestinian people's right to statehood, existence, and return.

Xi reaffirmed China's consistent support for the Palestinian people's struggle for their legitimate national rights. He expressed support for all Palestinian factions to strengthen unity and implement the Beijing Declaration on Ending Division and Strengthening Palestinian National Unity.

China firmly supports Palestine's bid for full UN membership and advocates for a more inclusive, authoritative, and effective international peace conference.

Xi concluded by stating that China will continue to work with the international community to end the conflict, provide humanitarian assistance through UNRWA, and bring the Palestinian issue back on track towards a comprehensive, just, and lasting settlement based on the two-state solution.
