He criticized the strengthening of military and political ties with Taiwan under the pretext of maintaining the "status quo" and increasing arms supplies, stating that these actions violate the one-China principle.

Responding to Rudenko's remarks, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning conveyed China's appreciation for Russia's firm stance on the one-China policy. She emphasized that this principle is a widely accepted norm in international relations and a significant consensus among nations. Rudenko also reaffirmed Moscow's support for China concerning the Taiwan issue, arguing that the U.S. seeks to provoke China and instigate a crisis in Asia to further its own strategic interests.
