Not a Hope in Hell
The idea of Prince Harry returning to the UK to assist with royal duties during King Charles's time of need has been firmly dismissed by royal expert Rebecca English. On the Daily Mail's talk show, Palace Confidential, English stated that there is "not a hope in hell" of this happening.
This statement comes after speculation that Harry might be open to rejoining the royal fold, particularly in light of his father's recent health concerns. However, English believes that this suggestion, initially reported by The Times, likely originated from Harry's camp and does not reflect the current sentiment within the Palace.
English contacted her sources within royal circles and was told that there have been no discussions, formal or informal, about Harry's return. "I made some calls and was told almost immediately, ‘absolutely not,’” she recounted.
The suggestion of Harry's return comes amidst heightened public interest in the health and roles of senior royals. Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, a decision that led to a much-publicized royal exit and complex family dynamics. Since then, the Sussexes have engaged in various media ventures and advocacy efforts but have remained distanced from official royal responsibilities.
