An incident at Heathrow Airport involving two women, aged 40 and 60, resulted in their removal from a British Airways flight due to a disagreement centered around a "Make America Great Again" cap. On Saturday, as they were about to board a flight destined for Austin, Texas, a dispute arose when one woman objected to the other wearing the red hat, typically associated with supporters of former President Donald Trump.
The flight, scheduled to leave at 12:10 PM, was delayed significantly, ultimately taking off at 2:11 PM without the two women. Eyewitnesses reported that a physical altercation occurred, including the exchange of punches, and the women confronted each other inside the airplane cabin. Following the captain's call for help, law enforcement arrived to remove them from the aircraft.
Although no arrests were made, both women filed complaints of affray against one another, prompting an ongoing police investigation into the event. A police spokesperson confirmed that they received reports of the incident around 12:45 PM, detailing the counter-allegations from both passengers involved. British Airways issued an apology for the delay and worked to get remaining passengers on their way as quickly as possible.
A source from Heathrow remarked on the unusual nature of the incident, noting the heightened tensions due to the proximity of the US presidential election. They emphasized that it was rare for a flight delay to occur because of a passenger's hat, indicating the extraordinary circumstances surrounding this altercation.

Wow, people can't even handle different viewpoints on a plane? We need more tolerance, not less. 🤦♀️
