Kamala Harris will deliver her closing election arguments on Tuesday at the site of Donald Trump's 2021 rally, which preceded the deadly attack on the US Capitol. Harris is expected to criticize Trump as unstable and vengeful.
The Democrat's speech will take place outside the White House, as Republican Trump downplays a recent rally in New York that was marred by racist remarks. Trump claims that Harris is the one spreading hate and division.
With just one week until Election Day, Vice President Harris and former President Trump are locked in a tight race. More than 50 million people have already voted early or by mail, which is nearly a third of the total number of voters in the 2020 election.
Harris is expected to pledge to be a "president for all Americans," in contrast to Trump, whom she accuses of wanting to jail his enemies and use the military against political opponents.
that's not who we are."
Police estimate that over 50,000 people will attend Harris's rally on the Ellipse, the same location where Trump delivered a speech filled with false claims about winning the 2020 election. Trump supporters then marched on the Capitol to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden's victory, resulting in injuries to 140 police officers and bringing the country to the brink of chaos.
Some Harris supporters waited in line for more than seven hours before her speech. Student Ethan Glucroft, 21, believes the venue choice is a deliberate reminder of the January 6th insurrection.
"Tonight, this is about hopes, freedom," Glucroft said.
Trump attempted to counter Harris's speech with his own campaign event at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. This comes amidst controversy surrounding a recent rally in New York where a comedian referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage." Trump's campaign has distanced him from these remarks, as he already faces accusations of potential "fascist" rule from his former White House chief of staff.
Trump described the New York event as a "love fest," the same term he used for the Capitol riot, and criticized Harris, claiming her message is one of hate and division.
The Republican later held a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania, a crucial battleground state with a large Puerto Rican community. Fears of a repeat of the 2020 election chaos loom large, as Trump has repeatedly hinted at refusing to accept defeat.
On Tuesday, Trump reacted to reports of Pennsylvania authorities halting hundreds of potentially fraudulent voter registration forms, questioning the legitimacy of the election process.
Both candidates are expected to make final campaign swings through battleground states in the remaining days before the election. Actor and singer Jennifer Lopez will join Harris in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Thursday, in an effort to reach out to young and Latino voters.

I admire her bravery to speak out against Trump so directly. We need leaders like her.

Why is she so focused on Trump? Shouldn't she be talking about her own platform?

Can someone remind her that blaming others won’t actually solve any problems?

Finally, someone calling out Trump's reckless behavior! This is a bold move by Harris.
