The Met Office has issued a warning to the residents of Spain, particularly in the eastern regions, about the risks of flooding and landslides this week as heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecasted. The rainfall amounts could reach between 250 to 350mm, a stark contrast to the average for October, which typically only sees about 50-100mm.
The intense weather is expected to predominantly affect areas along the eastern coastline, including popular destinations like Valencia, Benidorm, and Alicante. Additionally, the Balearic Islands are also poised to encounter stormy conditions.
Furthermore, the weather agency highlighted that strong winds of up to 60km/h are predicted on the east coast starting Tuesday, with warnings for wave heights reaching up to 4 meters. The unstable weather, driven by low pressure, is likely to persist across the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with storms and precipitation also expected in various other regions including the southern half of the country and the northeast areas.

This is getting ridiculous! I just bought tickets for Benidorm next week. Is the whole trip going to be a washout? 😠
