The China Coast Guard announced on Friday that it had monitored the Philippines' resupply of its warship that had run aground in Ren'ai Reef in the South China Sea.
According to a statement by CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun, the Philippines had dispatched a civilian boat to deliver supplies to the stranded warship in accordance with a temporary arrangement between the two countries. The China Coast Guard confirmed the presence of the Philippine boat and monitored the entire process.
Liu Dejun expressed hope that the Philippines would uphold its commitment and work with China to manage the maritime situation. He emphasized that the China Coast Guard would continue to conduct lawful rights protection and law enforcement activities in the Nansha Islands, including Ren'ai Reef and its surrounding waters.
