Republican Representative Erin Houchin from Indiana specifically criticized Harris for her recent endorsement of a bipartisan border bill that includes provisions for funding the U.S.-Mexico border wall. Houchin stated that Harris has a history of policy flip-flopping, indicating that her alleged support for the wall contradicted earlier statements. Other Republicans, such as Jason Miller, a senior adviser to Donald Trump, also emphasized that Harris has not genuinely altered her position on the wall, asserting that she would continue to oppose construction if given the chance.
