A tragic accident occurred in Kerala's Malappuram district, claiming the life of a two-year-old girl. The incident took place on Friday evening when the car the child was travelling in, along with her family, met with an accident in the Kottakkal-Padaparambu area.
The car collided with a tanker lorry, causing the airbag to deploy with significant force. The child, who was sitting on her mother's lap in the front seat, was tragically suffocated as her face pressed against the inflated airbag.
While the mother and three other passengers sustained minor injuries, the young girl succumbed to her injuries. The police are investigating the cause of the accident and the circumstances surrounding the airbag deployment. This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of child safety measures in vehicles, particularly the proper use of child restraints and the potential hazards associated with airbags.
