A horrific incident unfolded in West Tripura, where a 62-year-old woman was allegedly tied to a tree and burnt alive by her own sons. The gruesome act has sent shockwaves through the community.

According to officials, the incident occurred on Saturday night in Khamarbari, within the jurisdiction of the Champaknagar police station. The woman, who had lost her husband about a year and a half ago, resided with her two sons. Her third son lived in Agartala.

Upon receiving information about a woman being set on fire, a police team rushed to the scene. They discovered the woman's charred body tied to a tree. The body was taken to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
