The location for the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has been officially confirmed to be at the New Jersey stadium, which serves as the home ground for both the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL. This significant event will mark the climax of the newly expanded tournament consisting of 32 teams from around the globe and will take place across 12 different venues in the United States between June 15 and July 13, 2025.
The stadium, which opened in 2010 and has a seating capacity of 82,500, previously showcased high-profile matches, including the Copa America Centenario final in 2016. It has also been selected as a host for the 2026 World Cup final. Besides New Jersey, other cities chosen for the tournament include Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, and two locations in Orlando, with the venues primarily comprising NFL and Major League Soccer fields.
The format for the Club World Cup will consist of eight groups of four teams, with the top two from each group proceeding to a knockout stage that leads to the final match. At the same time, FIFPRO's European member unions have initiated a legal challenge against FIFA, voicing their worries over the implications of a congested schedule on player health and performance.
