Omar Fayed, son of the late Mohamed Al-Fayed, the former proprietor of Harrods, has responded to serious allegations of sexual assault against his father, stating that these accusations have severely impacted his cherished memories of him. Following a documentary that highlighted testimonies from numerous women accusing Al-Fayed of sexual misconduct, approximately 60 individuals have come forward with claims regarding their experiences.

In a statement, Omar said he feels horrified and deeply troubled by the nature of the allegations. The allegations detailed by the accusers include incidents that reportedly occurred in Al-Fayed's residences in London and Paris, as well as at the Ritz hotel. Those who attempted to voice complaints, according to their accounts, faced intimidation and were pushed out of their positions at Harrods through threats and false accusations.

Ultimately, Mohamed Al-Fayed sold Harrods in 2010 for a significant sum to Qatar's sovereign wealth fund, alongside owning other notable properties like Fulham Football Club and the Ritz Hotel in Paris.
