A Platform for Global Cooperation and Addressing Topical Issues in the Fuel and Energy Sector
Russian Energy Week (REW) is a major international forum that serves as a platform for strengthening global cooperation and addressing topical issues in the fuel and energy sector. The 2024 edition of the forum will be held in Moscow from September 26th to 28th.
This year's REW focuses on the theme "Energy Cooperation in a Multipolar World." The forum will feature a diverse range of events, including panel discussions, presentations, and exhibitions, with over 100 speakers participating in more than 30 events. These events will be divided into several thematic blocks, covering various aspects of the fuel and energy sector.
International Agenda: Cooperation for Development: This block will focus on finding ways to stabilize the global energy market, fostering cooperation between Russia and African countries, and developing collaboration within the BRICS framework. A key event within this block will be the meeting of energy ministers from BRICS countries.
This block will explore the prospects of hydrocarbon utilization, efficient energy transition, and ensuring technological independence in the energy sector.
This block will delve into topics such as robotization in the fuel and energy complex, technological sovereignty, artificial intelligence, and import substitution of equipment.
This block will address issues related to increasing electricity generation in the regions, functioning of utility infrastructure, development of the coal industry, and promoting the use of NGV fuel.
This block will focus on improving personnel approaches in the electric power industry, attracting and motivating personnel, and training highly qualified engineering and technical specialists.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak emphasizes the importance of REW as a platform for discussing crucial issues with international partners. He highlights the key tasks of ensuring sustainable supplies, developing new markets, and strengthening technological sovereignty. These efforts contribute to economic stability and energy security for both Russia and its international partners.
In addition to the main forum events, the REW will also host over 20 sessions specifically designed for engineering and technical staff of energy companies. These sessions will feature over 70 speakers and will provide a platform for discussing technical advancements and challenges within the industry.
