David Arakhamia, who represents President Zelenskyy’s political party, indicated that a substantial restructuring of the government is imminent, with plans to replace over fifty percent of the ministers. He announced that the upcoming days would involve both dismissals and subsequent appointments.
In the reshuffle, Stefanishyna, known for her focus on Ukraine's aspirations to join the European Union and NATO, may be appointed to lead a newly expanded ministry that merges her previous responsibilities with those of the justice ministry, according to unnamed sources within Zelenskyy’s party. Additionally, Kamyshin, who has been leading Ukraine’s defense production efforts, is expected to retain a role in the defense sector, albeit in a different capacity.
Kamyshin, at the age of 40, has gained recognition as a promising member of the government. He previously gained prominence as an effective manager of the national railways during the initial phases of Russia's invasion in February 2022. Since taking on the responsibility for defense production, he has played a crucial role in facilitating the manufacture of thousands of long-range drones, vital for Ukraine's offensive capabilities against Russia. Recently, President Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine had successfully deployed a new type of drone-missile and conducted tests on a novel ballistic missile for the first time.
