The Unpredictable Superstar Leading Geelong's Charge
Gryan Miers describes teammate Jeremy Cameron as an unpredictable superstar, a country lad who famously lost his premiership medal to a cow. "You never know what you're going to get from him," Miers says, "but then he'll go on and kick the winning goal."
"He's the best, but the hardest to know what he's going to do."
Cameron will lead the Cats' attack against Port Adelaide on Thursday night, with veteran forward Tom Hawkins still sidelined. The Cats have a new era of forwards, including Ollie Henry and Rising Star winner Ollie Dempsey, who have stepped up in Hawkins' absence.
Miers, a Geelong regular since 2019, has broken the competition record for goal-assists and is entering his fifth finals series in six seasons. "I've been absolutely blessed," he says. "I've been able to fight for finals every year and play in finals (almost) every year.
