Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, made controversial remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris's racial identity during an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists. Trump questioned whether Harris is truly Black or is using race as a political tool.
"She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black," Trump said. "And now she wants to be known as Black. So I don't know, is she Indian or is she Black?"
Trump's comments were met with swift condemnation from the White House. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the first Black woman to hold the position, stated that "No one has any right to tell someone who they are, how they identify."
Harris, who is the first Black, female, and South-Asian-heritage vice president in US history, has not yet responded to Trump's remarks.

People are so quick to label Trump a racist, but he's just asking questions. Where's the proof Kamala Harris is Black?

It's clear that Kamala Harris is lying about her identity. Trump is the only one brave enough to call her out.

This is a pathetic attempt to gaslight Kamala Harris – trying to claim she's "only" Black now, negating her whole identity.
