The commencement of the 2024 Paris Olympics has created a vibrant atmosphere as spectators from China and beyond gather in excitement. With the Olympic flame lit and the opening ceremony underway, the Chinese delegation is fully geared up for the competition ahead.

Chinese athletes are currently training hard across diverse venues, including tracks, pools, gyms, and shooting ranges, demonstrating their commitment and discipline. Among them, table tennis remains a highlight for many fans, where veteran athlete Ma Long, who is also the team captain, has been designated as the flag bearer for China. Ma expressed his pride and motivation in this role, stating his intention to honor the legacy of their predecessors and showcase the spirit of Chinese table tennis at the Olympics.

The esteemed Chinese diving team, often referred to as the "Dream Team," has also arrived in Paris, quickly settling into their training routines at the aquatic center. Meanwhile, the gymnastics team, following their success in Tokyo, is focused on not only defending their individual gold medals but also making strides in team events. The swimming team, composed of experienced Olympic champions along with promising new talent, arrived earlier this month to acclimatize for the competition.

The Chinese delegation is substantial, including 716 individuals, 405 of whom are athletes. This group boasts an impressive mix of experience, with a range of ages from 11-year-old skateboarder Zheng Haohui to 37-year-old race walker Liu Hong. Notably, the delegation comprises 42 Olympic champions, and a significant number of competitors are set to make their Olympic debuts.

In the midst of all this preparation, the "China House" at Rothschild Mansion opened on July 24, providing a welcoming space for guests during the Olympics. With vibrant training sessions occurring regularly, like those of Zhou Yaqin on the balance beam and Cui Chenxi's skateboarding practice, the spirit and enthusiasm of the athletes are palpable as they aim for excellence in Paris.
