Community Urged to Help Solve Shooting
A peaceful outdoor gathering in Stockton, Alabama, turned into a nightmare on May Day weekend when a shooting erupted, leaving three people dead and 18 injured. The incident, which unfolded at a party attended by approximately 1,000 people, including families with children, has sent shockwaves through the small community.
Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that escalated into gunfire. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office suspects multiple shooters were involved and is urging witnesses to come forward with any videos or information they may have.
"This is a tragic event that touches many lives in our community," the Sheriff's Office stated in a press release. "We are working very hard to bring this case to a resolution, but we cannot make arrests or successfully prosecute the offenders without help."
With a population of around 400, Stockton is a close-knit community grappling with the aftermath of this senseless violence. The Sheriff's Office is pleading for the public's assistance in bringing those responsible to justice and ensuring that such a tragedy never occurs again.
