A 64-year-old woman in Osaka, Japan, was arrested on May 14th for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after he asked her if dinner was ready.
The woman, identified as Pamera Okada, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Her husband, Masaru Okada, 76, was taken to the hospital but later died.
According to police, Okada admitted to the stabbing and told officers that she got angry when her husband asked her about dinner. She reportedly told him to "die" and then stabbed him.
The police are investigating the incident and are expected to upgrade the charge to murder.
Okada is accused of stabbing her husband, a part-time worker, in the right side of his abdomen with a kitchen knife at their home around 10:15 p.m. on April 14th.
According to the police and fire department, Okada made an emergency call around 10:20 p.m. saying that she had stabbed her husband. She reportedly got angry after he asked about dinner and also complained about his work while she was cooking. She then stabbed him as he was lying in bed.
