Eight More Cities Allowed to Issue Individual Travel Endorsements for Trips to Hong Kong and Macao
The National Immigration Administration announced on Saturday that eight more cities will be allowed to issue individual travel endorsements for trips to Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, effective May 27. This decision was approved by the State Council, China's Cabinet.
Taiyuan, Shanxi province
Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region
Harbin, Heilongjiang province
Lhasa, Xizang autonomous region
Lanzhou, Gansu province
Xining, Qinghai province
Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region
Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region
Residents of these cities holding individual travel endorsements will be allowed to stay in Hong Kong or Macao for up to seven days.
With the addition of these eight cities, nearly 60 cities on the Chinese mainland now issue individual travel endorsements for trips to Hong Kong and Macao. Earlier in February, Xi'an in Shaanxi province and Qingdao in Shandong were granted the same permission, effective March 6.
