Xi'an, located in northwestern China, is not just famous for its iconic Terracotta Warriors but also boasts a historical legacy spanning over 3,100 years. This captivating city served as the capital for 13 dynasties for more than 1,100 years, attracting tourists with its deep-rooted history and cultural significance. During the recent May Day holiday, Xi'an was abuzz with tourists, including a noticeable influx of foreign visitors, who were exploring the city's attractions like the Dayan Pagoda and immersing themselves in the vibrant Tang Dynasty-themed block.

Xi'an's allure extends beyond its historical sites, with efforts to enhance the tourist experience for foreigners. China has introduced several favorable policies to facilitate travel, such as simplifying visa applications, expanding international air transport capacity, and extending visa-free stays for short-term visits from 12 countries. These initiatives have led to a significant increase in foreign visitors, with the first quarter of this year witnessing a threefold rise compared to the previous year. This growth has been evident in Xi'an, where travel agencies have been hosting a steady flow of foreign tourist groups, emphasizing the city's appeal to international visitors.

To cater to the diverse needs of tourists, Xi'an has implemented convenient services, such as accepting international bank card payments at major scenic spots and launching an online service platform for ticket purchases at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. The city's commitment to enhancing the visitor experience has been met with enthusiasm from travelers like Karol Sadoch, a tourist from Poland, who appreciates the convenience and accessibility of these services. With a history rooted in inclusivity as the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road, Xi'an continues to embrace its role as a vital post in the modern Belt and Road Initiative, welcoming visitors from around the globe with open arms.
