Attacks by Russian forces, including bombings and shelling, have left many areas devastated, with reports of only a fraction of the population remaining in some towns like Vovchansk. The Ukrainian military managed to repel Russian forces from advancing further into certain areas, but the conflict continues to escalate, with reports of expanding front lines and new offensives being launched in different directions.

The conflict has led to a significant loss of territory for Ukraine, with Russian forces capturing several villages and territory in the Kharkiv region.
