A delegation from the People's Liberation Army recently embarked on a tour of South Asia, visiting Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Nepal from March 4 to 13. During their visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with the respective defense departments of each country.
The discussions centered around regional security issues of mutual concern, the development of bilateral military ties, and the promotion of defense cooperation between China and the three South Asian nations. The delegation met with the President of Maldives and held productive talks with defense officials in all three countries.
The visit resulted in the establishment of several consensuses, further strengthening China's military cooperation with Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. These agreements will enhance regional security and foster closer ties between the countries involved.
