During his research tour, Ding visited Fangshan district in Beijing and Zhuozhou city in Hebei province. He presided over a symposium in Zhuozhou, highlighting the significance of project excellence and integrity to gain public approval.
In 2023, China issued an additional 1 trillion yuan in government bonds to support reconstruction and disaster response capacity building. Ding emphasized the prioritization of quality and functional improvement in major infrastructure projects, particularly those aimed at protecting Beijing from flood risks.
He urged reasonable construction progress to ensure the completion of key projects before the flood season. By adhering to these principles, Ding aims to ensure the effective use of funds and the timely delivery of essential infrastructure for disaster mitigation and recovery.
