Dakota Joshua's two goals propelled the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. Brock Boeser also contributed a power-play goal for the Canucks, while J.T. Miller provided two assists.
The Ducks managed to score two goals in the third period, with Olen Zellweger and Mason McTavish finding the net. However, Vancouver's Arturs Silovs made 20 saves in his first NHL action since March 2023, helping the Canucks secure the win.
Despite giving up two goals in the third period, the Canucks managed to hold off the Ducks in the final minutes. Conor Garland set up Joshua for the game-winning goal with just over two minutes remaining.
The Canucks' power play proved to be effective, converting two of their four opportunities. Anaheim, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on any of their four power plays.
Vancouver's victory keeps them atop the Pacific Division standings, four points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers. The Canucks will now embark on a three-game road trip, starting with a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
