The 2024 China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum will host an online media sub-forum in Xiamen, Fujian province, on April 2nd. Organized by the China Daily website, the sub-forum aims to foster collaboration between Chinese and African online media outlets.
The sub-forum will delve into topics such as innovative storytelling, promoting cultural exchanges online, and strengthening people-to-people connections between China and Africa. A China story co-creation award ceremony will also be held during the event.
The broader 2024 China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum, scheduled for April 2-3, will focus on building a digital innovation partnership and enhancing digital cooperation. The forum will feature an opening ceremony and four sub-forums covering digital economic development, online media cooperation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence governance.
Participants will include government officials from China and African nations, African ambassadors to China, representatives from international organizations, internet companies, and think tank leaders.
